Every sportmask is built by hand in house using various weights of aramid materials bonded with impact resins.

Certified masks are designed in the guidelines required for certification and required for most leagues. Pro masks are not bound by regulations and are able to be customized and come with cateye or cheater cages.

A goalie mask should be replaced when it’s damaged, cracked, or has a compromised structure. Additionally, most masks have a printed expiration date on the shell that should be observed. Even without visible damage, a mask’s protective qualities can degrade over time due to impacts and material aging.

A goalie mask should fit snugly and securely, without any gaps between the padding and the goalie’s head. It should sit properly on the head, allowing for a full range of vision and movement, without restricting the goalie’s ability to move their head or jaw.

To ensure a proper fit, a goalie mask should sit a finger width above the eyebrows, with the back plate inside the helmet and snug against the cheeks. Adjust the straps and chin cup for a secure fit, preventing the mask from moving or being pushed towards the jaw. The mask should lift as a unit when twisted, without moving side-to-side, and there should be no gaps around the perimeter of the skull plate.

You may return your goalie mask to Sportmask for a full refund within 5 days. In order to receive a refund, the product must be in its undamaged package, not used and it must contain all original parts. We do not reimburse freight charges from your order. There is no refund for custom colours and options.

The complete process time to manufacture a goalie mask is dependent on the current open and pending orders at Sportmask, usually approximately 3-6 weeks. Additionally, shipping time should be considered.
